Christmas 2008

Brandon and I woke up at about 6:30 to Tabitha talking in her crib and realized we better get the kids up because my mom was calling at 7:30. Brandon woke the boys up and I got Tabitha out of bed. As soon as he was ready with the video camera he told us to come down. The frenzy began. The boys big gifts from us this year were Ipod "shovels" (green for Grady and red for Daxton) and a Didj for Daxton and Leapster 2 for Grady.

Tabitha enjoyed playing in the aftermath more than anything. Her big gifts from us was a Busy Ball Popper and big girl walking shoes. She also got a baby doll with stroller and port-a-crib and her very first Newborn Cabbage Patch doll.

We got to talk to Grandma on the computer. Thank you to her friends who let her "borrow" their internet connection to make this happen. It had been too long since we'd talked. Grady refused to talk to her... he was too busy with all his new toys. Daxton asked the same question he asks every time we talk to her, "how's the volcano doin'?" She has an inactive volcano that she can see from her apartment window so he wants to see it all the time.
It was wonderful to share our Christmas with her... even if it was just a little bit.
After our chat we went back to Nana and Grandpa's house for breakfast and the second round of gifts.

Uncle Austin got all the boys hot wheels...

Uncle Kayson got our family a badmitton set...

And there were some other useful gifts too. Loren and Rachelle gave each of us parents a copy of "How to Talk to Your Child about Sex" by the Eyre's. I was probably a little more thrilled about this than I should have shown. This is a talk we've been needing to have with Daxton and I am grateful to have some guidance.

Thank You to EVERYONE who made our Christmas memorable and fun.
