Veterans Day Camping

Brandon's mom loves to camp, so when the Veteran's Day holiday came, she decided to invite all of us for a night of sleeping under the stars... in my bro-in-law Justin's backyard. Why Not? It's a full 3/4 acre of well manicured nature. No rocks in your back while you sleep, and a working toilet just inside the door. It really is my kind of camping (if there is such a thing).

The kids loved every moment of the cooking hot dogs and roasting marshmallows. At one point we even went inside and watched a home video of a caterpillar forming it's chrysalis. My in-laws had found 4 caterpillars in their backyard and brought them inside in a jar. When 2 of them had formed their chrysalis's, they trained the camera right on another one and were lucky enough to capture the change on film. It was fascinating. We drank a little hot chocolate and then Tabitha and I drove the 2 miles back to our own beds and left Brandon with the boys to enjoy the outdoors. It was truly my kind of camping.

Sorry the pictures aren't great. Brandon used his camera phone...
