Memorial Day Festivities

We had a great family day. Brandon and I did yard work in the morning. Since we had spent every saturday doing "family service month" our yard was in need of some serious help. So, we spent a couple of hours leveling dirt, re-routing drip lines, and replanting some sego palms. When the work was done we headed over to our friend's pool for a couple hours of swimming "practice". My mom was in town for the week, so she joined us. After the sun did it's job in sufficiently wearing us out we went to eat some lunch at "Joe's Farmhouse Grill", one of our favorite new restaurants. Daxton threw a fit in the parking lot because he couldn't find his shirt, and we thought we'd left it at the pool. He was not about to eat lunch without his shirt. After lots of tears and a search through the swim bag the shirt was located and Daxton let out a giggle. He's at that age where he can throw a mother of a tantrum, but as soon as he gets his way he is right back to happy. Heaven help us.
Dinner was hosted by Brandon's parents. My mom brought her famous Guacamole, and we brought the Brats (no, not our children silly- the sausages). There was great food- as always, and the waterslide (of course).
Brandon and his brothers spent some time trying to bounce Grady on the trampoline, but he was never satisfied with how hight they were getting him. He told them several times that he wanted it BIGGER!
