The Polar Express

If you can believe it, that is cake! Aunt Jessie, who truly is the most attentive aunt I've ever seen, bought the most awesome cake pan that makes train cars. She and Steve bought all the fixins (including the cotton candy snow you see) to make the trains more colorful and fun. It is tradition that we spend Christmas Eve at Snowbird. We decorated the train up there while we waited for the light parade to start at dark. The light parade is also a tradition at Snowbird. A bunch of skiiers go up to the top of the mountain and they each come down with two flares in hands and criss cross across the mountain. It is one of those things that we mostly just watch to see if any of the skiiers run into trees (which in turn might go up in smoke), or are brave enough to be the first to break out of the line. One year my dad had just gotten a new camera and insisted on taking two rolls of film of the parade. Trust me, it isn't that interesting. But, it's tradition.
Grady is enjoying some uninterrupted candy gorging.
